A settlement has been reached, subject to Court approval, between Option consommateurs, the designated person and Canadian Tire Bank (the “Bank”) in a class action instituted by Option consommateurs against the Bank in respect of practices that relate to cash advance fees. A hearing will take place at the Court house of Montreal on September 7th 2016 at 9h30 in room 2.08 to obtain the approval of the Settlement Agreement in the class action. A settlement has been concluded, subject to the approval of the Court, between Option consommateurs, the Bank of Nova Scotia and President’s Choice Bank (‎collectively the “Banks”) in the context of a class action launched by Option consommateurs against the Banks regarding the calculation of fees applied to certain transactions involving a credit card, namely the over-the-limit fees and the cash advance fees. A hearing will take place at the Court house of Montreal on October 26th 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in room 2.08 to obtain the approval of the Settlement Agreement in the class action. Option consommateurs and Amex Bank of Canada (“AMEX”) have reached an agreement in three class actions and one motion for leave to bring a class action filed in Quebec against AMEX and several other financial institutions.

The claims period ends on June 7, 2017.
